Cookie policy
Last updated: 7 September 2026
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which ones we use in the Vento Barcelona shop, for what purpose, and how you can give, change or withdraw your consent. It forms part of our Privacy Policy and should be read together with it.
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device (computer, tablet or mobile phone) when you visit it. It allows the website to work, remembers your preferences and, depending on the case, is used to analyse use of the site or to show you advertising. We use the term "cookies" in a broad sense to also refer to similar technologies, such as browser local storage (localStorage) and tracking pixels or tags.
Cookies may be first-party (set by this site) or third-party (set by external providers, such as Google or Meta). Depending on their duration, they may be session cookies (deleted when you close your browser) or persistent cookies (remaining for a set period of time).
Your consent
When you visit the shop for the first time, we show you a cookie notice. Necessary cookies are always active because they are essential for the site to work and do not require consent. Analytics and marketing cookies are only activated if you accept them.
Until you make your choice, we keep analytics and advertising cookies disabled by means of Google Consent Mode: no Google measurement or advertising service stores or uses cookies for those purposes before you give your consent. You can accept all, reject all or choose by category.
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time via the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it, and does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
Cookies we use
Necessary (always active)
These enable basic functions such as keeping your basket, keeping your account session, processing payment securely and remembering your cookie choice. Without them the shop cannot work properly, so they do not require consent. For example:
- Shopping basket — saves the products you add so they are still there when you reload or come back (local storage, first-party).
- Cookie preference — remembers which categories you have accepted or rejected, so we do not ask you again (local storage, first-party).
- Account session — when you sign in, keeps you securely signed in (managed by our identity provider, Clerk).
- Secure payment — cookies set by our payment gateways (Revolut and PayPal) to process the payment and prevent fraud.
- Security and operation — technical cookies necessary for site security and load balancing.
Analytics (require your consent)
These help us understand how the website is used —which pages are visited, how people navigate— so that we can improve it. The data is processed in aggregate form. We use:
- Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager. It sets first-party cookies (for example _ga and _ga_*) which usually last up to 24 months. Provider: Google Ireland Ltd.
Marketing and advertising (require your consent)
These allow us to measure the effectiveness of our campaigns and show you relevant ads on other platforms, including personalised advertising based on your activity. We use:
- Google Ads — conversion measurement and remarketing. It sets cookies such as _gcl_au, with a typical duration of around 90 days. Provider: Google Ireland Ltd.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram) — the Meta pixel for measurement and advertising. It sets cookies such as _fbp, with a typical duration of around 90 days. Provider: Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.
The names and durations above are representative examples: the specific cookies depend on the services active at any given time and may vary. In all cases you can review and manage your choice from "Cookie preferences".
Google Tag Manager
We use Google Tag Manager to load and organise the measurement and advertising tags described above. Tag Manager does not itself set tracking cookies; it only activates the analytics and marketing ones when you have given your consent for the corresponding category.
Third-party cookies and international transfers
Analytics and marketing cookies are set by third parties (Google and Meta), who process the information in accordance with their own privacy policies. Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area; in that case the safeguards provided for in the regulations apply (for example, standard contractual clauses). You can consult their policies here:
How to manage or disable cookies
You have two ways to manage cookies:
- From our website — open "Cookie preferences" in the footer to accept, reject or change your categories at any time.
- From your browser — you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Please note that if you block necessary cookies, some shop functions (such as the basket or signing in) may stop working properly.
Changes to this Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in the cookies we use or for operational, legal or regulatory reasons. We will publish the updated version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. If the changes affect cookies that require consent, we will ask you for your choice again.
