Description

A tote bag, a glass of something and plenty of creativity. Are you in?

Looking for a different kind of creative workshop in Barcelona? At Vento Barcelona we've created an experience where art, creativity and good times come together. Design and paint your own cotton tote bag while enjoying a glass of wine, a coffee or a soft drink in a relaxed, cosy and inspiring setting.

Sometimes the best plans are the simplest: good company, a drink you fancy and the pleasure of making something with your own hands. We designed this workshop for anyone who wants to switch off from the daily routine, explore their creative side and take home a unique, personalised piece.

No experience needed. Just come ready to enjoy yourself.

What's the experience like?

For around two hours, our workshop turns into a little art studio where each participant designs and paints their own premium cotton tote bag (43 x 38 cm, 178 g weight).

You'll have textile paints, brushes, stencils, visual inspiration and our team's help so you can create a one-of-a-kind piece that reflects your personality. Go for minimalist designs, floral illustrations, inspiring quotes, abstract patterns — or simply let your imagination run wild.

While you paint, you can enjoy a glass of wine, a coffee or a soft drink in a laid-back, welcoming atmosphere — ideal whether you come on your own, with friends, with your partner or to celebrate a special occasion.

Personalise your tote bag your way

Design without limits

Choose colours, shapes and compositions to create a truly one-off bag. Every participant leaves with a different piece, designed by themselves.

Get inspired and experiment

We provide quality materials, visual examples and a range of decorative techniques to help you achieve the result you have in mind.

A practical, sustainable creation

As well as being a fun experience, you'll take home a sturdy, reusable tote bag you can use every day — for shopping, work, university or as a stylish accessory.

No pressure, just creativity

This isn't a traditional art class, and it's not an activity where everything has to be perfect.

At Vento Barcelona we believe creating should be enjoyable and relaxing. Our team will be by your side throughout the workshop to help whenever you need it, answer questions and offer ideas — always respecting your style and your creative process.

We provide the materials, the tools, the inspiration and the atmosphere. All you need to bring is the will to have a great time.

A different kind of creative workshop in Barcelona

If you're looking for original things to do in Barcelona, plans with friends, creative experiences for couples or painting workshops for adults, Tote Bag, Art & Wine/Coffee is the perfect way to step away from the routine and take home a unique creation made by you.

Based in Barcelona, we've designed this experience so that anyone — even with no previous art or painting knowledge — can enjoy the creative process in a friendly, relaxed setting.

What's included?

  • Premium cotton tote bag, 43 x 38 cm (178 g).
  • Professional textile paints.
  • Brushes, stencils and creative materials.
  • Personal guidance throughout the experience.
  • Drink included (wine, coffee or a soft drink).
  • Packaging so you can take your creation home with ease.

Who is this workshop for?

This workshop is designed for people looking for creative experiences in Barcelona who want to enjoy something a little different.

It's perfect for coming with friends or your partner, celebrating birthdays, hen parties, team-building activities, or simply treating yourself to some time out to switch off and create.

It's also a great option for visitors who want to discover an authentic, handmade experience in Barcelona beyond the usual tourist plans.

Create, unwind and take home something unique

In a world where almost everything is bought ready-made, there's something special about spending a few hours making something of your own.

Your tote bag will be much more than a cloth bag. It'll be a reminder of a shared experience, a different kind of afternoon and a unique piece nobody else will have.

We look forward to seeing you at Vento Barcelona to paint, raise a glass and create together.

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know

Where are you and how do I get there?

The workshop takes place at our studio at Carrer de Saragossa 42, 08006, Barcelona.

The nearest public transport stops are: V15, V17, D40, 22, 24, 27, 87, L3 Fontana, FGC L6, S1, S2, L7 (Plaza Molina-Sant Gervasi).

The nearest car park is at the petrol station on Carrer de Balmes (maps link).

Do I take my creation home the same day, or does it need to dry or cure?

In every case you take your creations home at the end of the workshop. You won't need to come back to collect anything.

Which days and at what times do you run workshops?

Workshops run from Wednesday to Sunday. You'll see the exact times and available spots when you choose a date on the website. If you can't find a slot that suits you, drop us a line and we'll look at options.

What's the atmosphere like? Relaxed, social, guided step by step?

It's a relaxed, very sociable plan, but you're always supported. We work at tables in small groups, with someone from our team guiding you the whole time. You can come to unwind, to create at your own pace or to have a good time with new people: the atmosphere works for all of it.

Do I need any experience? Is it suitable for complete beginners?

Not at all. Our workshops are designed for all levels, including people who have never done anything like it. You don't need experience or artistic talent: we guide you through every step so you enjoy the process and take home something you'll be proud of.

How early should I arrive?

We recommend arriving 10 minutes before the start time, so you can settle in calmly and everyone can start together.

What language is the workshop taught in?

Workshops are taught in Spanish, Catalan or English, and in more than one language at once if needed.

Do I need to bring anything?

Just a willingness to create and have fun. We provide all the materials, tools and the space.

Is there a minimum or maximum age? Can children come?

Children are welcome as long as they're accompanied by an adult taking part with them. The recommended minimum age is 6; if you'd like to come with younger children, write to us and we'll see how to adapt it.

Is the space wheelchair accessible? Are there stairs?

The space has a step-free accessible route (a ramp, no steps) and an accessible toilet.

I'm pregnant. Is it safe to attend?

Plenty of pregnant guests enjoy our workshops every week without any problem. Even so, the candle workshops involve fragrances, so as a precaution we recommend handling them with care and washing your hands after using them.

Is food or drink included? Is there wine or alcohol? Are there alcohol-free options?

Every workshop includes drinks. You can choose from wine (red, dry white, sweet white), Coca-Cola (regular and Zero), juices (peach or pineapple) and water. You can have as many drinks as you like to accompany the experience.

Can I come on my own? Will I be seated with other people? Will I meet others?

Of course! Lots of people come on their own and leave after some great conversations (and sometimes new friendships). The atmosphere is friendly and we seat you in a shared space, so it's easy to socialise… or go at your own pace if you prefer.

Do you host hen parties, birthdays and other celebrations?

Yes! Hen parties, birthdays and celebrations with friends are among our favourite plans. We adapt the workshop so it becomes the centrepiece of a special day.

Do you organise corporate or team-building events?

Yes. We run sessions for companies as a team-building activity or creative event. Tell us how many of you there are and what you're looking for, and we'll send you a tailor-made proposal.

Can I book a private session for my group?

Yes, we organise private sessions for groups. Write to us with a rough date, the number of people and the workshop you're interested in, and we'll put together a proposal.

Do you sell gift cards or vouchers?

Yes, and they make an ideal gift for birthdays, to say thank you or for any occasion. There are two ways to give a workshop:

  • With an open date: buy a gift workshop. The person who receives it chooses when to come and books online themselves with their card's code or by scanning the QR code. Gift vouchers don't expire: they can be redeemed whenever you like.
  • With a date already booked: if you already know the day, book the workshop as usual. After checkout you can create a gift card with the booking date to hand over.

Either way you can personalise the card (who it's for, who it's from and a message) after checkout, and you'll also get the link in your order email. You can download it as a PDF to print or send it by WhatsApp.

How do I book? Do I need to book in advance or can I just turn up?

You must book online on our website, choosing the workshop, date and number of spots. As groups are small and spots are limited, we recommend booking in advance; we can't guarantee a spot for walk-ins.

What is your cancellation policy?

You can read our cancellation policy here.

What happens if you cancel?

Although it's rare, we get ill too :) If we can't run the workshop, we offer a full refund or a change of date.

Are there specific terms and conditions for the workshops?

Yes, you can read them at this link.
