Description

Three decorative pieces, three techniques, one style: yours

Fancy making something beautiful for your home with your own hands? In our Ceramic Plaster Workshop you'll make three decorative pieces — a little tray, a small plant pot and a candle holder — and take them home finished the very same day.

The best part: you decide what each one looks like. Choose your pieces from 10 different designs and, for each one, the technique you like best. Use the same technique on all three for a matching set, or combine all three techniques and find out which you like most. No experience needed: we guide you step by step, in a relaxed atmosphere with a drink in hand.

The three techniques

  • Hand-painted: we pour the white ceramic plaster and you decorate it with acrylic paint. The simplest technique, and the one that gives you the most creative freedom.
  • Marbled: we pour the plaster in two batches with pigment so the colours swirl together and create unique veins. No two pieces are the same.
  • Terrazzo: you place coloured chips in the mould and we pour white plaster over them, leaving the chips visible. The classic terrazzo effect, made by you.

The pieces you take home

Choose the design of each piece from 10 different options:

  • Little tray: perfect for jewellery, keys or small objects.
  • Small plant pot: a decorative touch for your favourite corners.

The pieces are purely decorative and are not suitable for food use.

Everything you need to know

Where are you and how do I get there?

The workshop takes place at our studio at Carrer de Saragossa 42, 08006, Barcelona.

The nearest public transport stops are: V15, V17, D40, 22, 24, 27, 87, L3 Fontana, FGC L6, S1, S2, L7 (Plaza Molina-Sant Gervasi).

The nearest car park is at the petrol station on Carrer de Balmes (maps link).

Do I take my creation home the same day, or does it need to dry or cure?

In every case you take your creations home at the end of the workshop. You won't need to come back to collect anything.

Which days and at what times do you run workshops?

Workshops run from Wednesday to Sunday. You'll see the exact times and available spots when you choose a date on the website. If you can't find a slot that suits you, drop us a line and we'll look at options.

What's the atmosphere like? Relaxed, social, guided step by step?

It's a relaxed, very sociable plan, but you're always supported. We work at tables in small groups, with someone from our team guiding you the whole time. You can come to unwind, to create at your own pace or to have a good time with new people: the atmosphere works for all of it.

Do I need any experience? Is it suitable for complete beginners?

Not at all. Our workshops are designed for all levels, including people who have never done anything like it. You don't need experience or artistic talent: we guide you through every step so you enjoy the process and take home something you'll be proud of.

How early should I arrive?

We recommend arriving 10 minutes before the start time, so you can settle in calmly and everyone can start together.

What language is the workshop taught in?

Workshops are taught in Spanish, Catalan or English, and in more than one language at once if needed.

Do I need to bring anything?

Just a willingness to create and have fun. We provide all the materials, tools and the space.

Is there a minimum or maximum age? Can children come?

Children are welcome as long as they're accompanied by an adult taking part with them. The recommended minimum age is 6; if you'd like to come with younger children, write to us and we'll see how to adapt it.

Is the space wheelchair accessible? Are there stairs?

The space has a step-free accessible route (a ramp, no steps) and an accessible toilet.

I'm pregnant. Is it safe to attend?

Plenty of pregnant guests enjoy our workshops every week without any problem. Even so, the candle workshops involve fragrances, so as a precaution we recommend handling them with care and washing your hands after using them.

Is food or drink included? Is there wine or alcohol? Are there alcohol-free options?

Every workshop includes drinks. You can choose from wine (red, dry white, sweet white), Coca-Cola (regular and Zero), juices (peach or pineapple) and water. You can have as many drinks as you like to accompany the experience.

Can I come on my own? Will I be seated with other people? Will I meet others?

Of course! Lots of people come on their own and leave after some great conversations (and sometimes new friendships). The atmosphere is friendly and we seat you in a shared space, so it's easy to socialise… or go at your own pace if you prefer.

Do you host hen parties, birthdays and other celebrations?

Yes! Hen parties, birthdays and celebrations with friends are among our favourite plans. We adapt the workshop so it becomes the centrepiece of a special day.

Do you organise corporate or team-building events?

Yes. We run sessions for companies as a team-building activity or creative event. Tell us how many of you there are and what you're looking for, and we'll send you a tailor-made proposal.

Can I book a private session for my group?

Yes, we organise private sessions for groups. Write to us with a rough date, the number of people and the workshop you're interested in, and we'll put together a proposal.

Do you sell gift cards or vouchers?

Yes, and they make an ideal gift for birthdays, to say thank you or for any occasion. There are two ways to give a workshop:

  • With an open date: buy a gift workshop. The person who receives it chooses when to come and books online themselves with their card's code or by scanning the QR code. Gift vouchers don't expire: they can be redeemed whenever you like.
  • With a date already booked: if you already know the day, book the workshop as usual. After checkout you can create a gift card with the booking date to hand over.

Either way you can personalise the card (who it's for, who it's from and a message) after checkout, and you'll also get the link in your order email. You can download it as a PDF to print or send it by WhatsApp.

How do I book? Do I need to book in advance or can I just turn up?

You must book online on our website, choosing the workshop, date and number of spots. As groups are small and spots are limited, we recommend booking in advance; we can't guarantee a spot for walk-ins.

What happens if you cancel?

Although it's rare, we get ill too :) If we can't run the workshop, we offer a full refund or a change of date.

    It’s a wonderful and very elegant studio where candle-making and jewelry-making workshops are held. We celebrated my daughter’s birthday here, and everything was excellent. I’ll definitely come back.

    Very kind. They explained the technique to us with tremendous patience and didn’t mind leaving later; they wanted us to take our finished jewelry with us. A delight.

    My partner and I went for my birthday, and we absolutely loved it! The instructor, Guillermo, knew so much about candles and explained lots of fascinating and interesting things to us. We’re going to do another workshop. Hugs 🤗
