Cancellation, Changes and Refunds Policy
Last updated: 28 September 2026 In force from: 1 August 2026
At Vento (a brand of Aura Deco Candles, S.L.) we offer in-person craft workshop experiences, with limited places, booked for a specific date and time. This Policy governs changes, cancellations and refunds of such bookings.
It forms part of, and must be read together with, the General Terms and Conditions.
1. Nature of the service and right of withdrawal
As this is a service related to leisure activities provided on a specific date or within a specific period, the booking is not subject to the 14-day right of withdrawal generally applicable to distance purchases, in accordance with Article 103(l) of Real Decreto Legislativo 1/2007 (TRLGDCU) and Article 16(l) of Directive 2011/83/EU.
2. Two regimes depending on the date of purchase
The changes and cancellations regime applicable to each booking depends on the date on which the purchase was made:
2.1. Regime A — Bookings purchased BEFORE 2 August 2026
Bookings purchased before 2 August 2026 carry the following rights:
- Rescheduling: the booking may be rescheduled provided the request is made at least 24 hours before the start of the workshop, subject to availability.
- Cancellation with a pending voucher (“on-hold”): the booking may be cancelled at least 24 hours in advance. In that case, the booking is cancelled and held pending rescheduling in the form of a voucher, with no right to a refund of the amount paid. That voucher may be redeemed for a new date with no time limit, subject to availability.
These rights may be exercised as many times as necessary, provided that each request is made with the minimum notice of 24 hours indicated.
2.2. Regime B — Bookings purchased ON OR AFTER 2 August 2026
Bookings purchased on or after 2 August 2026 are final: they do not carry a right to rescheduling or to cancellation with a pending voucher, and no refund is due of the amount paid.
Exception: if the “Vento Flex – Flexible Change Option” add-on (section 4) was purchased at the time of booking, the booking will enjoy the same rights as Regime A described in section 2.1.
3. Conditions common to both regimes
Regardless of the applicable regime:
- Failure to attend (no-show): failure to attend the booked session, or any request for a change or cancellation made less than 24 hours in advance, does not give rise to any right to a refund, voucher or rescheduling.
- Late arrival: if the participant arrives after the session has started, they may join at the discretion of the facilitator and depending on the stage the workshop has reached, with no right to an extension of its duration, a repeat session or a refund.
- Exceptional circumstances: in exceptional and duly evidenced cases (for example, hospitalisation), Vento may, at its discretion and without this constituting an obligation, offer an alternative solution. This provision does not alter the mandatory rights granted to consumers.
4. Vento Flex — Flexible Change Option
Vento Flex is an optional add-on that may be added to the booking only at the time it is made, and which grants Regime B bookings the same rescheduling rights and rights of cancellation with a pending voucher as Regime A bookings.
Conditions:
- Purchase: it can only be purchased during the booking process, together with the workshop. It cannot be added after the booking has been completed.
- Scope: it is purchased for the whole booking and covers all participants included in it. Its price is €3 per person, shown before payment is completed.
- Rights granted: rescheduling and cancellation with a pending voucher, on the same conditions described in section 2.1 (request made at least 24 hours in advance, subject to availability, with no limit on the number of changes).
- Non-refundable nature: the Vento Flex amount is non-refundable and is not returned if the user does not end up making use of the flexibility it grants. However, if it is Vento that cancels the workshop (section 6), the Vento Flex amount is included in the full refund.
- Non-transferability between bookings: Vento Flex is tied to the booking for which it was purchased; it cannot be transferred to a different booking except as part of the rescheduling of the workshop itself.
5. Gift cards and redeemable vouchers
Gift cards and vouchers redeemable for a booking have no expiry date. The flexibility regime applicable to the booking resulting from their redemption is determined by the date on which the gift card or voucher is first redeemed (that is, the date on which the first booking charged to it is completed), and not by its date of purchase:
- Card or voucher first redeemed before 2 August 2026 → the booking is governed by Regime A.
- Card or voucher first redeemed on or after 2 August 2026 → the booking is governed by Regime B, regardless of the date on which it was purchased, unless Vento Flex is purchased at the time of redeeming it and setting the booking date.
Subsequent reschedulings or cancellations with a pending voucher of that same booking do not constitute a new redemption and retain the regime determined at the first redemption.
6. Cancellation by Vento
If Vento cancels a workshop for any reason (including the minimum number of participants not being reached or force majeure), the user will be entitled, at their choice, to reschedule the activity on another available date or to a full refund of the amount paid, including, where applicable, the amount of the Vento Flex add-on.
7. Processing of changes, cancellations and refunds
Rescheduling or cancellation requests may be handled through the channels provided (the Vento support portal) or by writing to hello@vento.house, stating the booking details. Any refunds due will be made using the same payment method used for the purchase, within a reasonable period from their approval.
8. Acceptance
Completing the booking implies acceptance of this Cancellation, Changes and Refunds Policy.
